With the schedule loaded some of you want to use the RSVP feature to get a picture of player availability per game. In order to do this you must invite all your players to each game.
Go to your team page
Click ‘Edit’ in left sidebar
Click Manage Team in yellow.
Click Schedule
Click the first game
Click ‘RSVPs’
Click Invite
Click the checkbox at the top of the list in the grey area to select all
Click the green ‘send invites’ button
Repeat this second section for each game.
Yes, this will generate one email to each player for each game.
Parents can then make use of the link in the email to RSVP or they can use the mobile app to RSVP or they can use the desktop app (arrow next to name at top of site, then click ‘Schedule’.
Some of you have been fielding reports from parents unable to RSVP for practices/scrimmages you have scheduled to date. This is because only the parent who registered the player for baseball/softball is currently able to RSVP. Sports Engine knows this is an issue and is working on it - but for now, that is the reason why only one parent can RSVP if the parents are using their own logins for Sports Engine. One workaround is for both parents to use the same login in the Sports Engine app.
On the desktop, again click the arrow next to their name after login, go to Groups then they should see their KALL team and there is a ‘Send Message’ link. They can choose ‘all’ or they can select individual players
On the mobile app. Visit the team, select ‘messages’ and then selecting ‘reply’ or the “+” (plus) sign in the upper right corner to create a new message.
If you are using the team messaging feature, there is no way for you to do this. You choose to message one or more players, and sports engine will send that message to whoever the parent has setup to get those messages.
In order for a second, third, fourth parent / guardian / grandparent / etc to receive emails sent to a player they - the parent - must log in to the website and edit their Sports Engine details.
It’s called ‘Adding a Linked Account’ and you can send out this url to help parents do this:
https://community.sportsengine.com/news_article/show/622624
This will also be true for divorced / estranged parents - the one that registered the player must link the other one.
